![]() Today's field trip was a success! We headed over to Funky Lanes, a modern state-of-the art bowling center in Arabian Center. They were all mesmerized by the cool and fun lights and designs. Students truly enjoyed using their newly learned science knowledge on forces of motion and testing it out first hand in a real life setting. Students were able to see that for bowling they needed a strong force to push the heavy ball down the long lane. For some this was difficult at first, but by the end they were all independently taking turns getting the heavy bowling ball down the lane and knocking down the pins! Golfing was very exciting for the students because it was glow in the dark! The mini golf holes were all designed distinctively with different contours and interactive obstacles which made the game more interesting and challenging for all the students. The children quickly realized they would need to use a different force for the golf, a softer more gentle force otherwise their golf balls would end up flying away. Over all it was a great day. Check out our photos below and see! Science standards : PS2A: Forces and motion
