Field Trip to Orbi Dubai
Students had a chance to learn about fruits and vegetables in a workshop where students then got to make their own fruit baskets to take home with them. Students also got "walk" with some African elephants and got stuck in the middle of a Sahara tornado. We huddled together as we experienced the sub zero temperatures of Mt. Kenya, had a 4D tour of mountain gorillas. After all of this we built up quite the appetite and enjoyed some yummy pizza and juice. All in all we all have a lovely time!

Here are some vocabulary words you can go over with your child: Seeds germination Roots photosynthesis Stem nutrients Flower seedling Leaves soil

Turkey Trot
Students Get Their Chaining Folders
Each student received a folder and the letters that we have learned. Students use their folders to create words by sounding out. They also use these folders with partners where one student will create a word and the other has to sound it out and read it. Students enjoy having these folders and that they are responsible for the folders and the letters, they are very proud of it. They are growing into such young independent little people.
Sense of Smell
Students got to use their sense of smell today. They had to identify if the scent in the cup was a good smell or a bad smell. Then they had to try identify what it smelled like and draw a picture to record what they thought it was. Scents included: Banana, strawberry, vanilla, mango, Parmesan cheese, coffee, pineapple, raspberry, perfume, lemon
Students really enjoyed this activity.
Pink Day and Golden Time! YAY!!

Forces and Motion
This week in science we learned about forces and motion. Students experimented with different objects to show what could move an object. Students learned that we could move objects by pushing and pulling them and that when an object is changing position it is in motion.
Our Five Senses
Students started learning about the bodies different senses last week. Students went on a sensory walk around the school identifying and drawing the things they saw, heard, felt, smelled and tasted. They had a lot of fun talking and sharing their thoughts.
