![]() Today's green planet field trip was amazing! The students had a very up close and personal experience with all the animals. Our tour guide Ms. Gemini was a great teacher, she taught us all about the rainforest and how the animals and plants co-exist and survive together. When we first arrived students were greeted by a beautiful toucan, they were then taken to the three different areas of the rainforest: the canopy, the midstory and the forest floor. Students got to get up close and personal with some beautiful macaws, we saw a toucan, different types of lizards, iguanas, snakes, a tarantula, and a sloth eating his breakfast. Ms. Gemini also let the students touch some of the slimy bugs like a millipede, which some students were more excited about than others. Show your child this educational video to reinforce the facts about the rainforest. https://jr.brainpop.com/science/habitats/rainforests/
Check out some photos below. ps. Ask your children the silly dance they learned that sloths do when they need to go to the bathroom! Hehe

We had a busy week with a lovely visit from the children's author James Fleton. The students really enjoyed his stories and some students even bought one of his books, which he kindly autographed. We also had a visit from Drs. Nicolas & Asp Dental Clinic. Students got their dental checkups and learned about the importance of dental hygiene. Check out some photos below of the students in action learning, observing, exploring, and being innovative !
