KG2 students are practicing writing their names daily. They know that their name starts with an uppercase and the rest of the letters are lower case (or small letters). It is important to encourage your child the correct formation of each letter. We use straight lines and curved lines to draw our letters. We also have a little song in class we sing "always start your letters from the top".
![]() International Peace Day is September 21st. On this day and every day throughout the year, children all over the world wish for peace. As a class we read the story "Can You Say Peace?". The author Karen Katz takes readers on a bright and colorful journey around the globe to meet some of these children and learn about the many ways to say peace! This week KG2B created their very own letters of the alphabet using different materials. It is important that students are given the opportunity to engage in and design their classroom environment. This process supports their learning by giving meaningful experiences for them to connect to. The students are very proud of their new Alphabet wall! Yay sandkittens!
