We made our decorations for our Halloween door. We encourage children to be in charge of their own learning and make choices independently. As you can see with the final result on the door no two witches are the same, which is exactly what we want. The children made their own choices and the outcome is some very colorful, scary witches. https://goo.gl/photos/tJBzz9FVnvp22L7k9 We accompanied their art piece with some rhyming poems about witches using words such as cat, bat and rat.
We have just finished our first unit of Engage New York Listening Strand. We reviewed the unit by allowing students to re-tell familiar fables and by working on rhyming words. https://goo.gl/photos/4gfrkVovP6UtqwWq9 If your child is unable to identify a rhyming word please use this website to revise them. http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/ks1bitesize/literacy/rhyme/maincontainer_001.swf We had a very successful first KG2 field trip. Thank you all for paying on a timely manner. The children had fun experimenting with forces and motion in real life. They were well behaved and listened carefully, which made it an enjoyable trip for us all. Well done KG2C!!! Click below to see some of the pictures. https://goo.gl/photos/9jUNZWSRTgTSoYvK9

I'm delighted to be your child's teacher this year. My aim as a teacher is to create a loving and fun learning environment for your child to grow in. I will provide them with the skills and knowledge they need, to help them feel proud of what they do here at CAS. |
