Have You Filled A Bucket? This week in KG2C Ms. Walters our school councilor stopped by to teach us all an important lesson, Bucket filling. She read the story Have You Filled A Bucket Today by Carol McCloud. This heartwarming book encourages positive behavior by using the concept of an invisible bucket to show children how easy and rewarding it is to express respect, kindness, appreciation, and love by "filling buckets. We discussed ways we can fill each other’s buckets in KG2C. Children said by hugging, smiling, saying I love you, helping each other and sharing our toys. The children were then asked to write compliments on each other’s buckets. The responses were lovely, such as You Rock!, I love you, and you are the best! If you would like to reinforce or discuss the topic at home watch the story here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xegQUON65hk and discuss bucket filling. I'm delighted to be your child's teacher this year. My aim as a teacher is to create a loving and fun learning environment for your child to grow in. I will provide them with the skills and knowledge they need, to help them feel proud of what they do here at CAS. |
